Your information
Privacy notice.
Prepared October 24, 2026
This notice describes the rebuilt Best Thing About application operated by Afterimage SRL. Contact us at jc@afterimage.com.do. It covers accounts, topic contributions, voting and appreciation notes in the new application.
What the app stores
- Account information: your Google or Facebook provider identifier and display name. The app requests basic profile information to sign you in. It does not request your email address, contacts or permission to post to your social account.
- Your contributions: the answers and appreciation notes you create, the recipient display names you type, optional memories, your support for answers and relevant creation times.
- Security information: a session identifier, anti-forgery tokens and short-lived rate-limit counters derived from the network address making requests. The hosting service may also keep standard access and security logs.
The app does not store your Google or Facebook password. The app’s provider client secrets and access tokens stay on the server; they are not stored in the app database or exposed to page scripts.
Why it is used
We use this information to sign you in, credit your contributions, count support, keep saved notes available and protect the service against misuse. Basic profile information is not used for advertising. The rebuilt app does not include advertising, tracking pixels, external analytics or automatic email delivery.
What other people can see
Topic answers, their author display names and aggregate vote counts are visible to visitors. We do not provide a public list of individual voters. Hiding counts during a matchup is part of the voting experience, not a promise that voting information is confidential.
An appreciation link is not a private message. Anyone with the complete note link can read its recipient name, text, optional memory and author name. A recipient name is display text, not a verified identity. Do not include confidential information or content you do not have permission to share.
People can copy or forward a note link or its contents. Deleting your note from the app cannot remove copies or screenshots held by other people. Creating a link does not send a message, verify delivery or track whether a recipient read it.
Cookies, drafts and sign-in providers
A necessary session cookie keeps you signed in and associates requests with your session. It is not an advertising cookie. Unsaved drafts remain in the open page and may be lost on reload; they are not stored in browser local storage. Saved contributions and notes are held in the application's database.
If you choose Google or Facebook, that provider processes the sign-in under its own privacy terms. Only the provider you choose is contacted for that sign-in. We do not automatically link separate provider accounts by email. Google and Facebook control their own account and consent settings.
Retention and deletion
Account information and saved contributions remain in the active application until you delete your account or content is removed for a service or abuse issue. Server sessions expire, and expired security counters are removed as part of normal cleanup.
Account deletion removes your account, connected provider identities, topic answers, supports and appreciation notes from the active app database. Your existing note links then stop working. It also ends the account's active app sessions. See data-deletion instructions.
Deletion from the active app does not promise immediate erasure of independent server logs, operational backups or copies held by recipients. Contact us about those records; we will explain applicable retention and any legal or operational limits rather than promise erasure we cannot verify.
Access, correction and questions
You can contact jc@afterimage.com.do to ask about information associated with your account, request a correction or request deletion if you cannot use the account controls. We need to verify account ownership before acting. Never email passwords, provider tokens or identity documents unless a separate, appropriate verification process has been agreed.
If the service changes what it collects or how it uses information, we will update this notice. A legacy site preserved separately at /v1/ is an archive; its read-only and third-party integration settings are reviewed separately before it is made available.
